Here at Great Southern Killarney we are incredibly fortunate to be located in Killarney town centre yet with 6 acres of picturesque mature gardens to the rear of the hotel. Surrounded by six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, fountains and pathways, these gardens offer guests a tranquil setting for an exquisite outdoor wedding celebration.
Weather permitting the gardens are the ideal location for an outdoor wedding blessing or a civil ceremony which can be as unique and personalised as you wish. A new addition to Great Southern Killarney’s gardens is an outdoor terrace area which would be ideal as a ceremony space, for hosting an alfresco drinks reception or an evening buffet should the weather permit. For days when the sun isn’t shining we have also added an awning over the terrace area to allow guests the opportunity to step outside even if the weather doesn’t allow.
The picturesque gardens at Great Southern Killarney are the perfect backdrop for photography on occasions such as wedding’s, engagements and with up to 6 acres of gardens at your disposal a wide variety of options for your backdrop are available to choose from.
For summer weddings an outdoor Barbecue cooking area is located in the centre of the gardens allowing you the option to have an outdoor Barbecue celebration the day after your wedding in an informal yet pictureqsue setting.
