"To say that the Great Southern was beyond amazing for our wedding would genuinely be an understatement. Everything from the the beautiful venue itself with all of the gorgeous Christmas decorations, to the food, to the best service we have ever received anywhere was beyond exceptional and more than what we expected. In particular, Ciara, Jillian and Ray honestly made our day. From the moment we booked The Great Southern for our wedding to the wedding day, everyone was so friendly, helpful and efficient and it made our lives so much for easier knowing that everything was being looked after and we could relax and enjoy the day. "Thank you, Christina, Jillian and Stephen, and everyone else who looked after us from Thursday to Sunday! Honestly it was the best weekend ever! From the minute we arrived we felt so looked after it was honestly excellent! All our guests complimented the set up, the food everything! Especially to Christina, Jillian and Stephen, ye were so good to Cathal and I. Each of ye were so understanding as to what Cathal had been through & what he needed and we really really appreciate it. Ye took every bit of stress away and made the whole thing run smoothly! From the minute we came down back in May 2024, the service we have received has been exceptional. "Andrew and I would like to sincerely thank you all for our wonderful wedding experience! We were blown away by the attention to detail, effort and level of service we received. The warmth, accommodating attitudes and just top tier Irish hospitality that we and our guests enjoyed made our wedding week the best of our lives. The reception room in particular blew me away! I was in shock and had to pinch myself many times while looking out at all our guests. It was so beautiful, my favourite I’ve ever seen!! Christina and Jillian worked very hard to make our vision a reality and we are so so thankful to you all. Jillian was incredible throughout this experience and especially on the day, dubbed the MVP of the wedding day by our bridal party. There was never a hand without a fresh espresso martini in it! She made sure everything was just perfect for us and worked so hard. Stephen during the evening was so helpful and I think was terrified when I was lifted in the air on the dance floor. Ray during the dinner service was unbelievably attentive! Sean at the door the whole weekend all gave us special memories we will cherish as we came in and out all week. I hope I will never plan another wedding again in my life, but I will look back at the memories so fondly. "We had a two day wedding event at the Great Southern Hotel! It was hands down the best two days of ours lives & alot of that was down to the staff & wedding planner Christina! Nothing was too big or two small & we were always greated and treated with such genuine happiness and friendliness from all the staff. "Wedding was planned from Australia. Had met with wedding team once before wedding. Whole process from start to finish was so easy. They were very accommodating to all our questions and requests. Food tasting was able to be done. All emails were answered promptly and well planned zoom call for final details. They got an alcoholic drink in for family member that wasn't normally available at the hotel." ... read more
