Have you ever tried our delicious Guinness & Walnut bread and thought "I must get the recipe for that"? Well now you can. This very simple recipe will make enough mix for 2 loaves.
330g | Wholemeal Flour |
165g | Plain Flour |
3g | Salt |
8g | Bread Soda |
75g | Porridge Oats |
75g | Roughly Chopped Walnuts |
395ml | Milk |
60g | Golden Syrup |
40g | Melted Butter |
105ml | Guinness |
- Preheat the oven to 175°C / 180°C.
- Place a small tray of water in the base of the oven to help keep the bread moist.
- Mix all the first ingredients together. Then mix all the liquid ingredients in to the dry.
- Put mix into Loaf tins and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Cook for 25 minutes, turn down the oven to 150° and continue to cook for 45 minutes - check after 40 minutes.
- Leave to rest for 10 – 15 minutes before removing from the tins.
