Yes, we have two car parks available at Great Southern for our guests to use. Parking is complimentary for all guests. To avail of our complimentary parking please bring your car registration with you to Reception upon check-in.

Guests can check in daily from 4pm and check out until 12 noon. Early check in's and late check out's can be requested but cannot be guaranteed.

Breakfast is served in The Garden Room from 7.30am until 10am Monday - Friday and 7.30am - 11am Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays.

There are a number of dining options to choose from at Great Southern Killarney. Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12.30pm - 5pm in The Grand Foyer and Drawing Rooms and is priced at €22.50 per person for Traditional Afternoon Tea and €29.50 per person for Champagne Afternoon Tea. Brownes Bar serves a range of bar food items from 12.30pm until 9.30pm daily. The Garden Room is open each evening from 6.30pm until 9.30pm and serves gourmet food priced at €45 per person.

The Wine Room is Kerry's only interactive walk-in cellar. Wine cards can be purchased at Reception allowing you to sample the various wines showcased. You can choose between a sip, half or whole glasses of wine in either red or white depending on what you would like to try.

The Whiskey Corner is located in Brownes Bar and houses a collection of over 190 of the world's finest whiskies from Ireland, Scotland, America, Canada, Wales and Japan.

Great Southern first opened as The Railway Hotel in 1854. After being purchased by The Great Southern & Western Railway Company the hotel was rename The Great Southern Hotel Killarney. After coming out of state ownership in 2006 the hotel was rebranded The Malton after a famous set of paintings by artist James Malton which hang in the hotel. In 2014 the hotel was purchase by local hoteliers Joe & Margaret Scally and they reinstated the Great Southern name in early 2018.
