The Picture Room

The Picture Room is a unique wine cellar experience combined with casual and relaxed dining for an informal wedding celebration. This new elegant dining space offers gourmet food and impeccable service in a beautiful Victorian setting, ideal for special occasions, family gatherings or an intimate wedding celebration.

Dine with the finest contemporary fare in this chic space overlooking our 6 acres of gardens and the magnificent mountains beyond. The Picture Room allow's you the flexibility to mark you Wedding celebrations in an informal way yet still in a stunning and unique location. The Picture Room can accommodate up to 40 people for a wedding banquet and 50 people for a wedding ceremony.
The Picture room is steeped in history and was actually used as a photographic dark room in the 1900’s where guests’ photographs were developed and printed. The Picture Room later became a cinema, complete with tip-up seats and silver screen and was used as a base for the editing and production of the famous 1970 film, Ryan’s Daughter. The Picture Room is now home to Great Southern Killarney’s archive of vintage photographs and is itself perfectly framed by large Victorian picture windows overlooking the hotel’s extensive gardens and reaching to beautiful views of the Kerry Mountains beyond.

The Picture Room is also the ideal location to celebrate your pre or post wedding celebration with family and friends where anything from Afternoon Tea parties to a brunch can be arranged.
